Internet Breakthrough: Inter.net Canada Breaks Away High Speed DSL Access from Land Phone Service

Montreal, March 16, 2006 – Inter.net Canada Ltd.- A division of Uniserve Communications Corporation - USS [TSX.V], the premier alternative to large telecommunications companies, today launches the Unbundled High Speed DSL plan, a high speed DSL service that doesn’t require subscribers to keep their traditional phone line.

“We are thrilled to bring the unbundled High Speed DSL service to our customers: Canadians are embracing alternative phone services such as Internet Phone (VoIP) like never before, and now they have the freedom and flexibility to fully customize their set of services on multiple platforms,” says Sophie Léger, COO of Uniserve Communications Corporation and President of Inter.net Canada. “We expect the Unbundled DSL access plan to become an extremely popular choice, both for new and existing High Speed DSL customers who want to replace landline use with our Internet phone service.”

The cost for unbundling High Speed DSL access, depending on the client’s location, ranges from $5.95 to $23.95 per month on top of the high speed service usual cost. Customers living in urban and suburban areas can expect to pay between $5.95 and $7.95 per month. Customers can combine this service with an Internet Phone service and enjoy significant savings and flexibility.

“Our clients have been asking us for this service for a long time, but the wholesale tariffs initially proposed by Bell made it impossible to offer,” Léger adds. “However, thanks to the CRTC’s landmark decision issued on December 27, 2005, Bell came back with tariffs that now enable independent providers to offer it.”
